Mr. Arshad did his BCS from FAST in 1993. He then completed BA(Hons.) in Philosophy, Psychology and Economics from Karachi University and in 1997 was awarded Gold Medal for his First class First position in MA Philosophy. In 2000, he earned another Gold Medal in MCS from SZABIST. He then completed MS/IT in 2005 and is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program.
Mr. Arshad developed his reputation in the fields of both Information Technology and Social Sciences as a keen academician by having taught graduate and post-graduate students at prestigious universities like SZABIST, IBA and Karachi University. Prior to this he was technically and administratively involved in the setting up of Multimedia Research and Development Center and Nucleus Entertainment (a post-production facility) in Karachi. At SZABIST, Mr. Arshad has been responsible for the planning, development and monitoring of the Bachelors of Computing program at SZABIST since 2001. In addition to this he has also supervised the BSc(Development & Economics) London External Program at SZABIST from 2005 to 2008.
Mr Arshad has co-authored a book and also has a number of refereed journal publications to his credit. He performs in the capacities of Senior Software Developer at ZabSolutions (the software wing of SZABIST) and as executive trainer at EDC (Executive Development Center, SZABIST). He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the PAF-KIET journal ‘Market Forces’ and a member of ACM, IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Technology and Society. He has also been panel member of VISION 2030 Ministry of Planning and Development, Govt. of Paksitan. Currently he is Senior Software Developer (ZabSolutions), Assistant Professor Computing Sciences and BS Program Coordinator at SZABIST.
Mr. Arshad offers workshops in the areas of logical analysis (for general audience), managerial problem solving (for middle and higher management), professional and business ethical practices (for all professionals), technology innovation, design and implementation (for engineers and technologists) and history of ideas (for educationists and trainers).
